preparing for baby zenna: photos, shower, and practice

as we enter the final month countdown for baby zenna to get here, a lot of fun things have been going on. my sister bailey does photography for a hobby and we decided to do a fun little pregnancy shoot. after a lot of convincing, drake finally agreed to come along and be a good sport- as long as it was quick. luckily, it was, and it was also a huge success! i'm very happy with the pictures bailey captured!
another fun thing occurred. my baby shower! it was also a huge success! my wonderful, amazing, talented family all came together and put together a fantastic night. there was also a huge turnout and i felt unbelievably spoiled. a lot of my good friends, old and new, came and i loved the chance to catch up with everyone! the theme surrounded chidren's books and everyone was invited to bring a favorite children's book instead of a card. it was an amazing idea, and took the decorating to a whole new level too!
(pictures coming soon of baby shower)

kendall made the trip from provo and stayed the weekend with me. summers are a lot of time apart and it felt good spending the time with her! she has a way of spoiling me too!
one of the first things we did together back at my apartment was read ALL my children's books together. there was quite a few i hadn't read before and it was pretty hilarious. thank you to everyone that brought a book to my shower! i love them! between the books, clothes, and accessories i think we are ready for baby zenna to make her appearance within the next month!
other fun adventures we had together:
that is a 1200 pound pig. literally as tall as some cows. and those are his baby-making parts. wowza.

we went to see our baby horses grazing in dairy creek. frosty makes one good mama. ice is the almost white horse with black mane and tail, and scout is the black baby.
we definitely had a lot of fun playing with these animals i love so much!
another way i got to prepare was practicing keeping a baby overnight! i got to keep baby kayzie for two nights while my good friend kimmie was gone. she is a nine month old BEAUTY and it was so great having her! the poor girl was a little sick so she was very relaxed and cuddly. she normally is a busy baby learning to crawl and explore. but i got a lot of cuddle time with baby kayzie. even the nights went pretty good. except, we did lose her binky at the state fair and after spending many hours up with her, we eventually drove to a store to get her a new one. that was all it took and then she finally slept soundly again. the practice was really good for us, and i saw drake's tender side once again. he really is a natural with babies and it got me feeling even more excited for this baby of OURS.
