He Put A Ring On It

yes i'll be the first to admit our relationship has always been nontraditional. the wedding dress was bought before the missionary was returned. the temple date was also set. engagement pictures were taken before the ring. drake and i have both considered ourselves engaged for a while now, but it does sure feel nice to finally have a ring on my finger. and yes, i feel spoiled rotten.
the story is simple. drake and i had already been ring-shopping and he wanted me to choose the ring. he wanted me to get exactly what i wanted. i thought i had already found the ring, but a good friend of ours took us to idaho falls because it wouldn't hurt to look and we were gonna get a good deal. well... i found this ring and fell in love. drake had a big, fancy proposal in mind... but i was a little anxious to keep the ring attached to my hand. and although he had me convinced he wasn't going to propose that night... he did.
it's actually more perfect and meaningful to me this way. we were in the same spot where we had first talked about getting married one day after the mission. and that night is still so vivid in my head (i've blogged about in my first ever post actually.) and it was a sweet, private moment in that same spot where he looked me in the eye and asked me to spend forever with him. it's an understatement to say i'm living my dream.
and like i mentioned, the engagement pictures were taken before the ring haha. my sweet aunt took them for us.

Thank you Dulce Paradise Photography!!

now, after getting these beautiful pictures taken, my sister shows up with a pinterest idea and two shirts she had made at school. she's in a photography and photoshop class, so we go out again for more pictures... enlisting the help of my awesome daddy. i wanted to try to get a picture in a river on a canoe. my dad was a little hesitant but he immediately set to work and he sure did hook us up!! we got some amazing canoe shots. although, my dad hates the weeds in the lens haha.

He deserved a BIG kiss and thank-you. He's such a great daddy.

and then bailey and my grandma jill just kinda went crazy snapping pictures away... and we had a lot of fun getting some more pictures taken. i am very blessed to have such gifted people in my life! and to have a dreamy fiance that is willing to dress up and pose for me whenever i ask. i am a lucky girl.
