it sure felt good spending valentine's day with drake again. the two without him were lonely and sad. and he sure knows how to make a girl feel special.
it started valentine's morning. he usually gets up at 6 am to workout and shower before going to work. so i didn't feel like anything was unusual when he was up really early. however, i did notice it wasn't even 7 and he was dressed and ready to walk out the door. when i asked him about this, he told me he decided not to work out so he ended up with extra time and he'd just make something to eat or something. so i laid down trying to get a little more sleep, but i had to get up to use the restroom and then i felt bad that i wasn't making him the valentine's breakfast (heart-shaped pancakes) that i had been planning on. so i tried going out to the kitchen to offer some help, and as soon as i stepped around the corner he was yelling at me to go back to bed while huddling over something on the counter. so he was cooking for me :) romantic, except for the demanding me back to bed part.
i had a delicious breakfast of eggs with chopped peppers and cheese, strawberries, and orange rolls (my favorite!) we were able to eat together before he went to work, and that started the day off great!
classes aren't canceled on valentine's day, so i spent the day on campus, dreaming of our tucanos date scheduled for that night! tucanos pulled out all the stops. every table had a red table cloth, candles, roses, and chocolate-dipped strawberries. we were in heaven, and ate enough to make both of us sick. seriously, we both felt sick, and my sickness lasted all weekend. but even with the sickness, i loved every minute with my amazing husband on our first valentine's day as a married couple!
