exciting news!

not what you're thinking... ;)

the good news is that this week i interviewed at plato's closet and got the job! this means i can work the same number of days a week, but get double the hours and really help out financially around here. we're making enough to cover expenses, on a normal day, but as soon as anything comes up (like tires on the car, for example) we begin to rely on savings more than we'd like to. 

the job interview was a little intense! when i go into a teaching interview, i feel pretty confident about what i know. i also know i have pretty great experience backing me up. i wasn't expecting this interview to be too crazy, but i was a little surprised! at first, i had to fill our a questionare. these were some of the questions: 

- what is the difference between skinny, flared, boot cut, and bell bottom jeans? 

- who was plato? why is the store called plato's closet? 

- what was in style for women's fashion within the past two years, but is no longer in style? 

- what is something that recently happened in pop culture? 

- what is something the president is currently addressing? 

- what are three fashion trends? 

- what's new in men's fashion? 

- what are three brands you'd find in pac sun? 

- what are five name brand jeans? where can you find them? what do they cost? 

... and so on. seems a little intense, right? who is plato?! i have no idea, but you can bet i b.s.ed that question beautifully. anyway, i was a little less confident about the interview because there could be someone better than me answering those questions, and i was the first one. what if i got forgotten after that? whatever i did, it must have been memorable because they offered me the job! i'm really excited to eliminate working on sundays altogether (biggest drag about the good ol' creamery) and start working selling clothes.
