we are really blessed to spend so much time with our families now! we would honestly have a lot more stress without them. somehow drake and i managed (again) to get work schedules that are really quite opposite. he starts at 8 and ends around 1:30 usually while i start around noon and end around 6. if there wasn't an option to carpool with our various family members, we'd have to do something different. it's been an easy enough task getting a carpool arranged because usually two cars from my family goes into town every day.
anyway, we had another crazy weekend. josey has been playing on a city league softball team that travel to tournaments every weekend. she's learning a lot, improving a lot, and having a blast. she plays games throughout friday and saturday, but since i work on fridays, i usually miss those. this weekend, drake and i drove to soda springs on saturday morning to watch the last day of her tournament. we weren't able to stay the whole time because drake also works weekends, but we did get to support her and see quite a few good things! we're really proud of her improvements and growth with this team! she has been playing a lot of second base and catcher, and her hitting has improved so much!
after drake and i came home and drake left for work, i got primped and ready to participate in bailey's bridal pictures with all the bridesmaids by Carrie Yost with Carrie Mae Photography (check her out! amazing!) ... and she sent us all a sneak-peek immediately that night! they turned out stunning! the colors are popping off the gorgeous scenery and everyone looks stunning! that was quite a fun adventure with all our favorite people. i was feeling really blessed because two of bailey's bridesmaids are MY sisters-in-law... that's how close my family is with my in-laws. i feel so lucky- that is honestly so cool. we are all one big happy family together and i love it! also.... the gene pool for this baking baby is GORGEOUS!
then, sunday morning we drove to downata hot springs because the babb family had been camping there all weekend with a family trip. we had to miss saturday because of the softball tournament and bridal shoot, but we were able to spend a nice morning/afternoon with family. it was a lot of fun, besides the heat. drake and i set up a net to play badminton on and he schooled me pretty bad :) after leaving the campout, i helped bailey and zane get announcements ready to send out. she's getting married in three weeks! ah! the announcements are from the same people who did mine, and they also look amazing!!
so basically, life is full of attending our family's varying activities and supporting one another. we've been helping bailey and zane paint the house they'll be moving into after they get married through out the weeks and attending cole's flag football games as well. i am blessed with such an amazing family because we're all there for one another helping out. that's one reason i really wanted to have this baby in idaho where my family was... a lot of help and support! we're blessed that the timing for all this is working out so perfectly. i know that it is all part of heavenly father's plan for us and he designed things to work out so great for us. i'm blessed to have an amazing, hardworking husband that is willing to make righteous decisions with me so that we can receive so many of the happy blessings prepared for us. life is really, really good and we are happy!
