dating my hubby

i love weekends when i get to spend the entire time with my man. he's off work and i've got nothing else going on. i also especially love when we spend this time actually "doing" something other than being lazy couch potatoes at home. lots of times we are in idaho spending time with our families, but weekends like this last one are fun times spent in provo! and definitely left me reflecting, again, on how lucky and blessed i am to have married my very best friend.
first, we picked up our Vocal Point tickets. never heard of them? they were on tv's The Sing Off which is an a cappella singing competition, and these boys all represent BYU. check this out.
and this was one of my favorite moments from the show. it involves elmo.
anyway, since we were early getting our tickets picked up, we took some time together to clean our car out. i love that, too. that's part of your dates once you're married, you gotta do the every-day stuff too. the weather was nice outside so it felt good getting the fresh air anyway, and we honestly just needed to clear our the unneeded junk that had piled up. so then, we both enjoyed the concert a lot and were in a frozen yogurt mood afterward. well, i was in a frozen yogurt mood- drake had never been, but i convinced him to try it. of course he loved it. who doesn't love mixing and matching flavors and candy toppings?
when we got home, we both had felt like we had a great time, and it was a perfect saturday afternoon! i love this man with all my heart. i love the fun we have together, and the things he's willing to do for me :) i love how life is just simple with us. it's easy. that probably won't always be the case, but it's nice having those days when we feel so simply, easily happy together.
