family home evening as a married couple is different than you always imagined your family home evenings to be. i'm so "teachery" that my brain is just programed to work in lessons. but planning a lesson for two people is a little bit awkward. one person gives the lesson to one other person... kinda weird, right? so either we don't really do lessons most often, but sometimes i feel like we're still missing something from the family home evening.
so whenever we can, we combine our family home evening with our friends:
Friends-Home-Evening.
and this works out great. it's all part of the newlywed(ish) fun.
so this week we invited kendall and thomas over for tacos and a lesson. i recently got a smartphone (yay!) and one awesome thing about it is the lds apps. so i was able to look through some lessons and i found one i really liked (i'm soooo wishing i had kids because i'm so excited to do lessons with them!!). then, afterwards, drake brought home a mario party redbox for our wii and we followed up with the fun stuff. it felt good to plan and execute a short family home evening lesson. and again, we have the greatest friends!
