october weekends are always full of so much fun. i love the fall season- orange leaves and brisk air. i love the fall style- tall boots and bright scarves. drake loves the fall season too- lots of football and lowered degrees. so of course, it's one of our favorite seasons!
this year our october fun started with a fantastic start. my best friend, kendall hutchison, is an amazing host! and when she throws parties, you can count on them being an absolute blast! this year, she put together a halloween scavenger hunt. it was sooo much fun! it was a costume party, and oddly enough, drake and i love dressing up! after much searching and debating, we settled on going as 80s rock stars. complete with nose rings and black finger nail polish.
as i mentioned before, kendall is an amazing host. she goes all-out and it really pays off. i am jealous of her attention to detail and ability to turn little things into awesome decorations. for example, she edited these pictures and printed them in 8x11 frames for decoration:
all of these scary people came together and we had the greatest time!
isn't my husband a good scary rocker?!
i love all of those people so much! jenna (pirate), lexi (statue of liberty), kendall (...uh catwoman, nintendo super-person), and I are in the same program and loving getting to know each other more.
and our boys like each other too! similar interests: sports. video games. period.
haha they really do get along together great though! the boys play on an intramural flag football team together, and we just started this week our intramural co-ed volleyball games! i looooove getting a chance to play with drake and all our friends!
after our halloween celebrations, drake and i headed to idaho on saturday morning to spend a weekend with our families. first, was caden's championship football game at the ISU dome. we love getting to watch our siblings play sports! then, it was the Babb family birthday celebrations! we went to a corn maze, painted pumpkins, drake played football with the kids, and then we ate some cake. those parties are always my favorite experiences to go home to. finally....
we all got together to haul wood for four trailers. this was dirty work, but fun with so many friends and family. drake even rounded up his family to come help us too! and i have to say how attractive these men looked heaving heavy logs up over their shoulder!!
i told you it was dirty work.
we really all did have the best time together though! overall, the weekend was a successful trip home! living in provo is a huge blessing because we are close enough to travel home as often as we want while i am still able to attend the university that i love so much. overall we are very happy people living a very happy life!
