21st birthday

this is a post when i really wish i were better at taking more pictures. because i basically don't have any for my 21st birthday!! but... here goes. i had spent two birthdays (as shown below) without drake here celebrating with me. so this one was special. we were together again, and yes, i was about to get spoiled.

my day started off with drake getting up earlier than me and making me breakfast. i know, he's a keeper. he wouldn't give me my present yet though! then the day was pretty much normal. classes all day, then work. at work, we made a little sign to tape on my shirt that said, "buy me something, it's my birthday." and people actually bought me stuff. it was hilarious and kept me very entertained. some sweet freshman bought me a martinelli's, pack of gum, and bag of chocolate peanut clusters. heck. yeah.
then, drake picked me up so we could rush to our co-ed volleyball game. we both have a lot of fun with our great friends. we won. afterwards, we went to jamba juice to celebrate cheaply (well kinda cheaply. seven bucks for two smoothies? wow...)
finally, i got my gifts from drake! first was the dance 2 game for our wii. that's kinda an inside joke, but i'm excited to dance with drake at home. fun exercise.
THEN the big one! i'd been living in anxious anticipation all day for this one. i knew he was excited to give it to me, and i knew how much it cost (ouch!) but i had no idea.
**drum roll**
he got us tickets to see the cirque du soleil show Quidam performing in salt lake city! boooooooo-yeeeeaaaah!!! he's so great! we were supposed to go see the show Ka in vegas during our honeymoon, but they weren't performing while we were there... so we didn't. and i was completely bummed. but now we will get to see some cirque du soleil together! i'm very excited. i don't know why i love it so much, but i do. it makes me feel like the human body is incredible. and it freaks me out. but in an awesome way.
kendall also spoiled me rotten. she knows me so well. i couldn't love and adore her more. orange chocolate, chocolate-covered cinnamon bears, and a children's book called i want to be a mommy. i love her. it was the most perfect gift ever.
after we got home, we were exhausted. and you'd think that would be the end of my birthday.... but....
the next morning i had an eight o'clock class. it always sucks. the worst class i've ever taken ever. but i have it with some great people. and they  decided i needed one more day of birthday celebrating and they surprised me in class with hot chocolate, donuts, and a gift! they are the sweetest!
seriously, i have the greatest family and friends. i am so blessed with the greatest people around me. i feel so loved and happy. all in all, it was a great birthday! yay for being another year older!
