thanksgiving was great! we were blessed to spend the day with both of our families. first, at the May's, and then finishing at the Gunter's. we ate way too much!

then, of course, black friday happened again, as always. i love that day simply for the experience and memories with my family! we didn't fill a trailer or anything this year, but we did have so much fun! we left pocatello at 4 am and spent the day in idaho falls. we always spend a lot of time in barnes and noble reading books, wandering around jcpenny for waaaay too long, and of course eating lunch at olive garden! drake spent the day shooting and skinning beavers with my dad, cole, zane, and pacen. oh and jessica and i had a sisters date to see BYU Vocal Point.
then, drake and i started a "real-tree" tradition. we even took it one step further by chopping down our very own from drake's family's land in inkom. we drove our jeep along the road until we saw a smallish tree. it looked perfect! then, when we actually walked up to it, it was HUGE! so we chopped down the top half. correction: drake manually sawed it down with a hand saw all by himself :) then he carried it with one arm back to the jeep. i was a flashlight holder. but it was still so fun! and it did turn out perfect. then, he convinced me to get rid of my red and gold decorations and replace them with blue and silver because i had a 49ers tree and we had to sport the cowboys. that's what i get for including him haha. overall, this year's tree is so great!
we also spent a weekend in salt lake city for the annual temple trip with the Babb's. it was freezing, but we bundled up and had a great time! we even did a little shopping at city creek!
and finally, we ended that cold weekend with kali's baptism! drake was her choice too and it was awesome! it is so fun having younger siblings that we get to do these experiences with! and i sure love that husband of mine who is so willing to take part in all these moments. zenna and i are lucky girls!
