*drum roll* big news!

it was monday, january 28, 2013... and i had suspicions.
early and extreme exhaustion, dizzy spells, and emotional tendencies
(seriously i can't get through an episode of american idol without crying)
so i secretly purchased a test, and anxiously waited two minutes.
a visible + sign changed my life.
we're pregnant!
i was ecstatic. and scared. a little nervous. but mostly so excited.
i'll never forget drake's perfect reaction when he first learned he was going to be a daddy! fortunately that will forever be remembered on video!
(in the video, drake is opening a text message i sent him with a picture of the pregnancy test... it takes him a minute to understand, but then it's the most sincere, happy, perfect expression of "holy crap, i'm gonna be a daddy.")

after telling drake, and celebrating with my cute announcement brownies, we also went to buffalo wild wings because that same day i was offered a job at plato's closet. remember this post?  well it was also a celebration of the exciting news of being future parents!

the estimated arrival of our future baby is October 13, 2013.

this has thrown a crazy twist in my future plans for school (which I will finish!). but the four weeks of my fall practicum involve being in elementary schools from 8-4 during the month of october, and there's just no way i could make that work... so we'll be taking that semester off, moving to mccammon, idaho in april to anticipate the arrival of our little bundle there. in january, we'll return to provo and i'll start my first practicum semester. we know this isn't the easiest way to get through school, but we both feel that starting our family was the right decision, and the Lord will be with us the entire time. we have faith we'll be taken care of, and we just couldn't be more excited for the arrival of a little baby!
happy soon-to-be parents!
