wow. i can't believe the day actually came. the day actually came when i was sealed for time and all eternity with the man of my dreams :) all growing up i have planned and dreamed about getting married with so much excitement and enthusiasm, that part of me worried it wouldn't actually live up to my hopes and dreams. well i was dead wrong. it was a beautiful, exciting (long!) weekend.
so as if the wedding planning wasn't rushed already (with a date set to be married within 8 weeks of drake's return from chile), we were also scheduled the same week as marsh valley's high school graduation and we both had siblings graduating. what a week for our mothers! wednesday night we attended graduation for bailey and jarik, then thursday night we all went through the Idaho Falls temple. we didn't go until the 6:30 session in order for most of our family to attend. that was an awesome experience. i loved having my family with me for the special day. but then we had to drive to salt lake that night because our sealing was the next morning. it was a late night.

then drake and i got up and left early for our instructions before the sealing. it was a surreal feeling driving to the temple together to be married for time and all eternity. even if we were operating on 3-4 hours of sleep.

several hours later, we were finally married and trying to comprehend it all. it was so fun :)
then after a lunch with our friends and family that came to the temple, we stayed our first night together in salt lake city. we got the room online with a discount. it had five star ratings... and was advertised as a bridal suite... but it wasn't quite that. it was basically large enough to fit our bed with room to walk on all three sides (only room to walk) and a camper-sized bathroom. i was a little bummed at first because i had researched beforehand and had this vision in my head, but i'm kinda fond of the story now.
for dinner friday night we decided to walk to City Creek since i had never walked through it all before and we ate at the food court haha. so romantic.
already being exhausted from the long week, our weekend wasn't over yet. we had to drive back to idaho on saturday for the reception in mccammon. once again, i was laced into my dress and forced drake to stand and take even more pictures with me throughout the night. although, it was soooo good seeing everyone. and the reception turned out freakin' fantastic!!! i have an amazing family all blessed with incredible talents and everyone helped in one way or another. whether it was pictures, the wedding cake, my bouquet, my hair and makeup, the music, a slideshow, lots and lots of food!, or helping keep my mother's sanity intact.... my family did sooo much! i don't have any pictures of this night yet or i'd post some. late saturday night, after opening all our gifts in my living room, repacking the already full car, and changing into some comfier clothes, we drove to pocatello for the night. i'm pretty sure we crashed hardcore and slept in as late as we could before driving to vegas the next day. it was an extremely drawn-out experience, but it was so awesome. i loved how everyone came together and had a good time for us. i loved the lack of "goodbyes" with drake as we were allowed to live together now!! and a part of me does love the chaotic way everything came together.
once in vegas...
one of the first things i wanted to do was hit up Wings Tuesday at buffalo wild wings. i've been addicted to the place since my last summer in vegas, and it was a rare trip to go to the new spot in lehi or idaho falls. afterwards, we used our gift-card to coldstone and boy does ice cream feel good in the vegas heat!

| such a babe i married! |
well, on the ride home, as i was driving through las vegas traffic in the middle of the afternoon, my new husband decided to attack me with his ice cream when i was completely helpless and unable to protect myself. that is just typical drake though, i guess. and i knew that before i agreed to spend eternity with him... what was i thinkin'? ;)
