i love the holiday season every year because i can always look forward to going to see the salt lake temple with my family. this year zenna was very entertained by the lights and nativity scene as she is obsessed with farm animals and recognized the sheep and donkey. it always sets such a great tone for the spirit to be with us all season.
we also always always celebrate with the mckee family and this year it was a lot of fun. zenna just plays and plays and plays with kali and other children a little older than her, and she had a blast. she played until she was too tuckered out to stay awake! this was a little unusual for her!
i was so ready for christmas break to have two weeks with my cute girls! we spent the break by hanging out at the house, or with family. nothing too big or special. drake took his brothers up the mountain to his grandpa's farm and chopped down a tree for our front room and hung up christmas lights on our first home! it felt like a beautiful christmas card. i hung stockings up on our empty wall and added tinsel to the shelves. the first day, i just played with zenna and set up her birthday frozen house. i loved being there while she took part in that.
on christmas eve, we went to my great grandma vesta's house and isla couldn't stop staring at her great great grandma. it was the sweetest thing to see.
this year we had everyone stay the night at our house since we have so much room and the big tree set up. dassia and jonny came and stayed (she was looking more and more preggo and we loved it!) and cinta even slept on our floor too. it was a fun memory! after having the morning here, we went to my parent's house in mccammon and celebrated with them too. it works out pretty great!

drake and i went a little overboard while christmas shopping this year. it was soooo much fun having two girls to shop for and i knew zenna would show a little more excitement this year that other years. santa delivered her a toy baby changing/feeding station with a sink and washer/dryer. she loved it. both the girls got spoiled with clothes and books. drake and i weren't supposed to spend any money on each other... so i didn't ... and he did. he got me tickets to maroon 5 in boise this october. i was so so ecstatic. definite dream come true.
then the funny thing was: my mom got drake and i tickets to maroon 5 too! so i guess i'm going twice in october. once in utah, and then in boise. i couldn't be happier. it was a successful and happy christmas season to end the year. we are so blessed.
