wowza, it's 2015! december is always one of the best months, and even more so now that i'm teaching! december means fun christmas activities/crafts and a two week paid vacation! that vacation was MUCH NEEDED. i was one exhausted, pregnant teacher. luckily- the beginning of my second trimester aligned perfectly with the christmas break and i was able to rejuvenate with family and free time to clean my apartment all while my energy level was raising to a normal range.
zenna was 14 months for christmas. so it was fun, but that christmas magic wasn't all the way there - at least for her. for us- it was definitely magical! we loved picking out gifts for her and spoiling her rotten. what parents don't love that?! and toddlers are easy to spoil.
during christmas break, we spent the annual salt lake temple square experience with the gunter and babb families. it was full of shopping, spaghetti factory (with my favorite spumoni ice cream!), and temple square lights. we even went to see the glowing statue of Christ, and zenna was a little intrigued by it. it was adorable!
we spent christmas morning at my parents house first, then rushed to the may's. it was awesome because none of them were even awake yet when we got there between 8:30 and 9. they all just let themselves sleep in to wait for us! it was perfect! again, we were very spoiled and blessed to be with our families. zenna even had some cuddle time with her uncle caden! (he's getting used to this uncle thing).

we also spent a few days in island park with the gunter family. we spent time with family, playing games, visiting west yellowstone to get homemade taffy and fudge, and playing in the snow. papa also let zenna eat a blood-red, giant jawbreaker. she loved it- A LOT.
