ever since i began dating drake, when i was a freshman in high school, i've known that he loved the Dallas Cowboys. a deep, eternal, passionate love. naturally, they are now my team too. but all those years ago in high school, when i daydreamed about our future and things we would do, i definitely imagined us travelling to dallas to watch them play. well, this summer, the opportunity to pursue this dream came up. the story on these tickets is previously blogged: here.
so early saturday morning, we drove to las vegas. we drove to las vegas because tickets there were absurdly cheaper. i got two round-trip tickets from vegas for less than half the price of ONE ticket from salt lake city. so after a six hour drive and two hour delay in the las vegas airport, we took off on our first flight ever together!
after landing in dallas, renting a car, and attempting to figure out the map apps on our new droids, we were driving all around the dallas area. we stopped at the walmart across from the stadium to get a few things and admired the glowing stadium.i also experienced a great deal of culture-shock while roaming through that walmart. definitely far from idaho.
the next afternoon, we were off to the game. it was an incredible experience. even i thought the stadium was amazing and breathtaking. we had pretty high seats, but even those still had a great view. and even better, the cowboys won. it was an awesome experience. one of my six-year-old daydreams: check.
then, that same day we drove back to the airport, caught a flight at 11:15 pm... landed in vegas at 11:59 pm and drake amazingly drove the whole way home with no sleep!! then, even more amazingly, had enough time to shower before working a 10-hour-day. i don't know how he did it. he is simply incredible.
i loved every minute of our quick adventure! and now we're back to the real life.
