utah, here we come

our summer in vegas came and went in a blur!

after my visit home for a week during the downey fair (where i was able to attend my best friend from high school's bachelorette party!!! country swing dancing, baby!!),

we brought kali home with us to vegas for our last week. she came to school with me every day and we had a blast together!

we also took her to m&m world and amazed her! then... we spoiled her too. her big brother loves her very much. she even got him to spend money on her! double what i had limited her too, even!!

then, after a week of fun, our time in vegas was officially over. this was bittersweet. we both enjoyed our time there very much, but i was still very anxious to get back home to utah! well, we had a tight fight for the 9 hour drive home. poor kali was pretty squished in the back seat. she was stuck between the door and a clothes hamper, and that hamper tipped over the top of her more than once in the long commute. 

we were in a race with time in order for me to get to jaimee thompson's wedding reception on saturday night. but, we made it! and she made a beautiful bride!  

then, a short stay in idaho later and we were off to provo, utah to move into our very first apartment together! this is something i've been dreaming of for YEARS. it was like christmas to me: unloading all our belongings, organizing everything where i want, decorating the entertainment center, and even better... decorating my super cute bathroom!! (thank you zane and bailey!)

it was a long process, however. tons and tons of boxes after multiple trips to our storage unit.

 this is a fake picture. obviously i was not that excited about my huge mess. but i was so excited to have our very own place to stay!

i had soooo much fun! and being back in provo feels sooo good!
